Biography

Al Coronel is an American actor. Born in Los Angeles, California, on 4 October 1969, he trained at the Sanford Meisner Center for the Arts, completing the two-year Meisner programme and the master’s programme under instructor Martin Barter.

His screen credits include the role of Federale Commander in the film Logan (2017), President Filo in the series Westworld (2016–2020), and appearances in Lucifer (2016), House (2004), 9-1-1 (2018), S.W.A.T. (2017) and NCIS (2003). Earlier film work includes an uncredited role in The Aviator (2004) and a part in Blow (2001). He has also performed in stage productions including Romeo and Juliet, Much Ado About Nothing and the musical Cesar & Ruben.

Before acting, Coronel was a professional salsa dancer who taught and performed at festivals worldwide. He is an eight-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
