Biography
Al Mackay is a British television director, also credited as Alastair Mackay. He directed episodes of the series Humans (2018) and Banana (2015).
His other directing credits include episodes of Crazyhead (2016), Deep Water (2019), Cobra (2020–2021), Without Sin (2022) and Kidnapped: The Chloe Ayling Story (2024). He has also written and directed short films including The Good Men of Leicester (2010) and Hit and Run (2011). Mackay was named on the BBC’s New Talent Hotlist in 2017 and received a Best Director nomination at the West of England RTS Awards.
