Biography
Alain Doutey is a French actor. He trained at the Cours Simon and made his film debut in 1967 in Les Arnaud. He began working in theatre in 1970 under Jean-Laurent Cochet.
Doutey is known for roles including Broban in The Big Red One (1980), Carlier in Now Where Did the Seventh Company Get to? (1973), the hall porter in Frantic (1988), the chief valet in Marie Antoinette (2006), and the president of the court in Mesrine: Public Enemy #1 (2008). He has appeared in numerous films and television series since the 1970s.
He is married to actress Arièle Semenoff and is the father of actress Mélanie Doutey.
