Biography
Alan Hook is a production designer and art director working in film and television. He has served as production designer on the series One Tree Hill (2005–2011) and Dawson's Creek (1999–2003), and on the feature A Good Old Fashioned Orgy (2011).
His earlier credits include set design on Empire Records (1995) and art direction or supervising art director roles on films such as Syriana (2005), G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013), Iron Man 3 (2013), Furious 7 (2015), Insurgent (2015), Allegiant (2016), Black Panther (2018), Bad Boys for Life (2020), The Suicide Squad (2021) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023). He has also contributed to Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) and additional photography on Thor: Ragnarok (2017).
Hook is based in Wilmington, North Carolina, and has worked on numerous productions filmed in the region and in Atlanta.
