Biography
Alan Jay Glueckman (1944–2015) was an American screenwriter and producer. He began making short films as a teenager and later attended an intensive film workshop at the New School in New York, where he wrote and directed the 1977 short Pickup, starring Glenn Close in her first screen role.
After moving to Los Angeles in 1977, he wrote screenplays for several feature films, including Butcher, Baker, Nightmare Maker (1981, also known as Night Warning), Russkies (1987), Gross Anatomy (1989) and The Fear Inside (1992). He also contributed scripts to television series such as Swamp Thing and Xena: Warrior Princess (1996). In later years he worked on interactive web content and co-founded the music collaboration platform eJamming.
