Biography
Alan Strachan (1938–2015) was a British film editor. He began his career in the editorial department, working as an assistant editor on Where Eagles Dare (1968) and Frenzy (1972), and in assembly and associate roles on several James Bond films including The Spy Who Loved Me (1977).
Strachan received editor credits on numerous features from the late 1970s onwards. These include The Final Conflict (1981), North Sea Hijack (1980), Withnail & I (1987), How to Get Ahead in Advertising (1989), Waking Ned (1998), Saving Grace (2000) and FearDotCom (2002).
