Biography
Alastair MacEwen is a cinematographer specialising in natural history and wildlife documentaries. His credits include director of photography on Planet Earth II (2016) and Life on Our Planet (2023), as well as camera operator on Our Planet (2019) and The Hunt (2015).
He has contributed additional photography and camera work to earlier series such as The Life of Mammals (2002) and Night on Earth (2020). MacEwen has received Emmy nominations for his cinematography, including for Our Planet.
