Biography
Albert Paulsen (born Alberto Paulson Andrade) was an Ecuadorian-American actor. Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, on 13 December 1925, he emigrated to the United States and appeared in American films and television from 1962 until 1988. He trained at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre under Sanford Meisner and was a life member of the Actors Studio.
Paulsen played Zilkov in the 1962 film The Manchurian Candidate. He was best known for guest roles in television series of the 1960s and 1970s, frequently portraying European or Eastern bloc characters in shows including Mission: Impossible, Columbo, Knight Rider, Wonder Woman and Airwolf. In 1964 he won a Primetime Emmy Award for his performance in the Bob Hope Presents the Chrysler Theatre presentation of One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich.
Paulsen died of natural causes in Los Angeles on 25 April 2004.
