Biography
Albert Salmi was an American actor of stage, film and television. He trained at the Actors Studio in New York with Lee Strasberg after serving in the United States Army.
His stage work included the Broadway production of Bus Stop in 1955. On screen he appeared in films such as The Brothers Karamazov (1958), Escape from the Planet of the Apes (1971), Caddyshack (1980) and Brubaker (1980). Salmi was a frequent guest on television series including The Twilight Zone, Bonanza, Knight Rider and The A-Team.
In 1967 he received a Western Heritage Award for an episode of Gunsmoke.
