Biography

Aleksandr Boym was a Soviet and Russian production designer and art director. He was born on 4 April 1938 in Moscow, USSR, and died on 2 January 2015 in Moscow, Russia.

Boym worked extensively in Soviet and Russian cinema and television. He is credited with production design on films including Stalker (1979), Diamonds for the Dictatorship of the Proletariat (1975), Autumn (1974), The Romanovs: An Imperial Family (2000) and Leningrad (2009). He also served as art director on the television miniseries Sovest (1974).
