Biography
Alex Gabassi is a director and producer. Born in São Paulo in 1967, he began his career in Brazil as an independent director and producer. He worked as assistant director and stage manager with the London-based physical theatre company Théâtre de Complicité, and directed series, specials and music videos for MTV Brasil.
Gabassi has directed multiple episodes of the Netflix series The Crown (seasons 5 and 6, 2022–2023). His other television credits include directing episodes of Black Doves (2024), Raised by Wolves (2020–2022), The ABC Murders (2018) and The Frankenstein Chronicles (2017). He has also served as co-executive producer on Black Doves.
