Biography
Alex Herschlag is an American television writer, producer and stand-up comedian. He is best known for his work on the sitcom Will & Grace, serving as writer and executive producer from 1999 to 2006 and returning for the 2017 revival; he shared a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series in 2000.
His other credits include writing and producing roles on Ellen (1996–1997), Modern Family (consulting producer and teleplay writer, 2010), Hot in Cleveland (2011–2015), Mike & Molly (2016) and Man with a Plan (2016–2017). He created the series Broke (2020). Herschlag was born in the Bronx, New York, and attended McGill University.
He is married to television writer Apryl Huntzinger.
