Biography
Alex Lacamoire is an American composer, arranger, conductor, musical director and orchestrator. Born on 24 May 1975 in Los Angeles, California, he graduated from Berklee College of Music in 1995.
He has worked on numerous Broadway productions and is known for his contributions to In the Heights (2008), Hamilton (2016) and Dear Evan Hansen (2017), receiving multiple Tony and Grammy Awards. He served as supervising music producer on the FX series Fosse/Verdon (2019), for which he won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Music Direction.
Lacamoire has also acted as executive music producer on films including The Greatest Showman (2017), In the Heights (2021), Vivo (2021) and Dear Evan Hansen (2021). He received a Kennedy Center Honor in 2018.
