Biography
Alex Murphy is an Irish actor. He was born on 26 December 1997 in Cork and trained at The Lir Academy of Dramatic Art at Trinity College Dublin, graduating in 2019.
Murphy is best known for playing Conor MacSweeney in the 2016 comedy film The Young Offenders and its BBC/RTÉ television series spin-off from 2018. For the film he received an IFTA nomination for Best Actor in a Lead Role – Film. In 2022 he appeared as Philip in the television adaptation of Conversations with Friends.
