Biography
Alex O'Flinn is a film and television editor. He holds a B.A. in English from Kenyon College and an M.F.A. in Film Production from UCLA, where he also serves as a lecturer.
His editing credits include A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night (2014), The OA (2016–2019), The Bad Batch (2017), The Rider (2018), Wander Darkly (2020), The Underground Railroad (2021), and Sorry, Baby (2025). He has collaborated with directors including Ana Lily Amirpour, Chloé Zhao, Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij, and Barry Jenkins.
O'Flinn received an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Editing for The Rider and a Peabody Award for The Underground Railroad. He has also edited documentaries such as Jawline (2019) and Caterpillar (2023).
