Biography
Alexandra Stewart is a Canadian actress. Born on 10 June 1939 in Montreal, she moved to Paris in 1958 to study art and made her film debut the following year in Les Motards. She has worked in both French- and English-language cinema.
Her credits include Exodus (1960), The Fire Within (1963), The Bride Wore Black (1968), Day for Night (1973), Black Moon (1975), Frantic (1988) and Under the Sand (2001). She provided the English narration for Chris Marker's documentary Sans Soleil (1983). Stewart has also appeared in television series such as Highlander: The Series (1992) and served on the jury of the 2004 Chicago International Film Festival.
She has a daughter, Justine, with director Louis Malle.
