Biography
Alexandru Papadopol is a Romanian actor. He was born on 5 April 1975 in Râmnicu Vâlcea and graduated in 2002 from the Caragiale National University of Theatre and Film in Bucharest, where he studied under Dem Rădulescu. He has been a member of the Odeon Theatre company in Bucharest since 2014.
Papadopol first appeared in feature films with roles in Stuff and Dough (2001) as Ovidiu and Occident (2002) as Luci. He is also known for his performances in Tales from the Golden Age (2009), Two Lottery Tickets (2016) as Pompiliu Bors and Toni Erdmann (2016) as Dascălu. He has worked as a producer on several films and won best actor awards at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival in 2001 and from the Romanian Filmmakers' Union in 2002.
