Biography

Alexej Manvelov is a Swedish actor. He was born on 31 March 1982 in Moscow to a Russian mother and a Kurdish father from Syria. He moved to Sweden at the age of ten and grew up in Ljungsbro near Linköping. Before training as an actor he worked in the construction industry.

Manvelov is known for his role as Akram Salim in the 2025 series Dept. Q. His other credits include Garo in the 2019 miniseries Chernobyl, Alexei Petrov in the third season of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan (2022), Artan in the 2023 film A Day and a Half, and Davor in the Swedish series Before We Die (2017). He has also appeared in Top Dog (2020), Sthlm Requiem (2018) and The Unthinkable (2018).
