Biography
Alexis Forte is a costume designer working in film and theatre. Born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal, she moved to Miami at the age of ten. She trained as a ballet dancer before studying at Central Saint Martins in London, where she shifted focus to visual arts, theatre and film. After graduating she began her career in New York City.
She worked as an assistant costume designer on films including Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021), Bad Times at the El Royale (2018), mother! (2017), The Whale (2022), The Post (2017) and Little Women (2019). Forte made her transition to lead designer with Resurrection (2022), followed by Smile (2022), Smile 2 (2024) and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024). She has also designed for the stage, making her Broadway debut with Between Riverside and Crazy (2023).
Forte is a member of LAByrinth Theater Company.
