Biography
Alexis Grapsas is a Greek film and television composer. Born in Lefkada, Greece, he trained in classical music from a young age and studied film scoring at Berklee College of Music on a scholarship. He has been based in Los Angeles since 2008, where he maintains a studio on the Warner Bros. lot.
Grapsas is known for his scores for the films Pig (2021) and A Quiet Place: Day One (2024), both directed by Michael Sarnoski, as well as television series including Big Shot (2021–2022), American Horror Stories (2022–2023) and Trigonometry (2020). He has also contributed additional music to Empire (2015–2020). He is a Sundance Institute alumnus and Film Independent Fellow, and has received two wins and four nominations for his work.
