Biography
Alexis Wilkinson is an American writer and comedian. She graduated from Harvard University with a degree in economics in 2015. While at Harvard she joined the staff of The Harvard Lampoon as a freshman and was elected its president in her junior year, the first African American student of any gender to hold the position.
Wilkinson began her television career as a staff writer on the HBO series Veep (2012) in 2015, shortly after graduating. She moved to Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013) as a staff writer and story editor for its fourth season in 2016–2017. She has also contributed humour writing to The New Yorker and other publications, and received a Writers Guild of America Award for her work on Veep.
