Biography
Alexis Zabé (also credited as Alexis Zabe) is a Mexican cinematographer. Born on 4 June 1970 in Mexico City, he studied at the Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos at the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
He is known for his work on Duck Season (2004), Silent Light (2007), Post Tenebras Lux (2012) and The Florida Project (2017). Zabé has won two Ariel Awards for Best Cinematography, for Duck Season and Silent Light. He frequently collaborates with directors Fernando Eimbcke and Carlos Reygadas, and is a member of both the Mexican Society of Cinematographers and the American Society of Cinematographers.
