Biography
Alfonso G. Aguilar, also credited as Alfonso González Aguilar, is a Spanish film composer, pianist and conductor based in Los Angeles. Born in Madrid in 1985, he studied music there before training in film scoring at the Berklee College of Music.
He composed the score for the Netflix animated feature Klaus (2019), for which he received the World Soundtrack Award’s Public Choice Award. The film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature and won a BAFTA. His other film scores include All Roads Lead to Rome (2016), Money (2016), Perdida (2018), You Shall Not Sleep (2018) and Get Her... If You Can (2019). He has also worked on the Amazon series The Legend of El Cid (2020).
Aguilar founded the music production company DOKO, with facilities in Los Angeles, Madrid and Bucharest, and the audio branding firm Sounditi.
