Biography
Alfredo Barrios Jr. is a screenwriter, producer and director. A Mexican-American from Los Angeles, California, he is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School. After five years working as a corporate litigator, he moved into screenwriting.
He received early television writing credits on series including Law & Order (2004–2005), for which he also served as executive story editor, as well as Mister Sterling, The Lyon's Den, Just Legal, Close to Home and Justice. He later wrote for and produced Burn Notice (2007–2013), rising to executive producer, and served as showrunner and executive producer on Six (2017–2018). Subsequent credits include writing and producing on Magnum P.I. (2018), Harlan Coben's Shelter (2023) and Hotel Cocaine (2024). He has also written and directed short films and the feature Bull Run.
