Biography
Alfredo Guarini (23 May 1901 – 6 April 1981) was an Italian screenwriter, film producer and director. Born in Sestri Ponente, Genoa, he was active from the mid-1930s to the early 1960s.
He produced Germany, Year Zero (1948) and Journey to Italy (1954), both directed by Roberto Rossellini. Guarini also directed several films in the 1940s, including È caduta una donna (1941) and episodes of the 1953 anthology We, the Women.
Guarini managed the international career of actress Isa Miranda, whom he married in 1939; the couple collaborated on multiple projects.
