Biography
Alice Mathias is an American television director and producer. She grew up in Chicago and graduated from Dartmouth College before earning an MFA from the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
She began her career as an intern on the IFC sketch series Portlandia (2011–2018), later serving as producer, director and executive producer. Mathias has directed episodes of I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson (2019–), co-directed the Netflix mockumentary Death to 2020 (2020), and worked on series including Documentary Now! (2015–), Schmigadoon! (2021–) and History of the World: Part II (2023). She has received multiple Primetime Emmy Award nominations and wins as a producer.
