Biography
Alice Winocour is a French screenwriter and director. She was born on 13 January 1976 in Paris and studied screenwriting at La Fémis.
She co-wrote the screenplay for Mustang (2015) with Deniz Gamze Ergüven, which won the César Award for Best Original Screenplay. Winocour has also written or co-written scripts for films including Home (2008) and Ordinary People (2009).
As a director, her feature films include Augustine (2012), Disorder (2015), Proxima (2019) and Revoir Paris (2022). She has received further recognition including a special mention at the Toronto International Film Festival for Proxima.
