Biography
Alison Lohman is an American actress. Born in Palm Springs, California, on 18 September 1979, she began her career with small roles in independent films and television, including regular parts in the sitcom Tucker (2000–2001) and the soap opera Pasadena (2001). She had earlier appeared in theatre productions and performed as a vocalist with artists including Frank Sinatra and Bob Hope.
Lohman received critical attention for lead roles in White Oleander (2002) and Matchstick Men (2003), and for playing the young Sandra Bloom in Big Fish (2003). Other film credits include The Big White (2005), Where the Truth Lies (2005), Flicka (2006), Beowulf (2007), Things We Lost in the Fire (2007) and Drag Me to Hell (2009), as well as voice work. She retired from acting in 2009 after marrying filmmaker Mark Neveldine and has since worked occasionally in projects connected to him.
