Biography
Alix Lambert is an American artist, filmmaker, author and television writer. She wrote the episode "A Rich Find" for the third season of the HBO series Deadwood in 2006, for which she and the writing staff received a Writers Guild of America Award nomination for Outstanding Drama Series.
She has directed feature documentaries including The Mark of Cain (2001), nominated for an Independent Spirit Award, Bayou Blue (made in collaboration with David McMahon) and Mentor. Lambert was a staff writer and associate producer on John from Cincinnati (2007) and has written for magazines and the video game Syndicate. As an artist she has exhibited at the Venice Biennale, the Museum of Modern Art and other international venues, and is the author of books including Russian Prison Tattoos and Crime.
