Biography

Allan Eastman is a Canadian television director and executive producer. Born in Manitoba, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Manitoba in 1971 and studied at the Film School of the University of Bristol, where he wrote and directed his first film, A Sweeter Song (1976).

Eastman directed the feature films The War Boy (1985), Crazy Moon (1987) and Danger Zone (1996). He directed episodes of numerous television series, including Friday the 13th: The Series, Sliders, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993), Star Trek: Voyager (1995), Stargate SG-1 (1997), The Outer Limits (1995), Earth: Final Conflict (1997), BeastMaster (1999), Andromeda (2000) and Degrassi: The Next Generation (2001). He served as executive producer on Night Man, BeastMaster and Andromeda.

Eastman's miniseries Ford: The Man and the Machine received three Gemini Awards, including Best Miniseries. He also received a Golden Reel Award for Ford and a 2001 Leo Award for Andromeda. He was married to actress Cynthia Ashperger.
