Biography
Allen Vincent, also credited as Allen Leffingwell Vincent, was an American actor and screenwriter. Born on 28 August 1903 in Spokane, Washington, he began as a stage actor in New York City before appearing in motion pictures from the late 1920s. He later transitioned to screenwriting in the early 1940s.
Vincent is known for his acting role as Ralph Burton in Mystery of the Wax Museum (1933) and for his screenplays for The Face Behind the Mask (1941) and Johnny Belinda (1948). The latter, co-written with Irma von Cube, received an Academy Award nomination for Best Screenplay. His final screenwriting credit was for The Girl in White (1952). He died on 30 November 1979 in Canoga Park, California.
