Biography
Alloysious Massaquoi is a Scottish musician and composer, best known as a member of the Edinburgh hip hop group Young Fathers alongside Kayus Bankole and Graham 'G' Hastings.
The trio formed in the 2000s and released their debut album Dead in 2014, which won the Mercury Prize. Their music has appeared in films including Assassin's Creed (2016) and T2 Trainspotting (2017). In 2025, Young Fathers composed and produced the original score for Danny Boyle's 28 Years Later, their first full feature film soundtrack.
Massaquoi was born in Monrovia, Liberia, and moved to Edinburgh at the age of four. He attended Boroughmuir High School with Bankole.
