Biography
Amanda Black is a British television producer. Originally from Scotland, she began her career in theatre before moving into television in 1990 as a props assistant floor manager at BBC Scotland. She has progressed through roles in props, assistant directing, locations and production.
Black has lived and worked in Belfast for over two decades. Her credits as producer or line producer include Blue Lights (2023), World on Fire (2019 and 2023), Wedding Season (2022), Intergalactic (2021), Marcella (2016 and 2020) and Victoria (2016–2017). She previously worked as production manager on Miss Julie (2014). She has collaborated with broadcasters including BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Disney, and won a BAFTA award.
