Biography
Amardeep Jha is an Indian actress. She was born on 14 June 1960 and began her career in television with the serial Amanat (1997), in which she played Amit's mother. Her film debut came in Dushman (1998) as Jaya.
Jha is known for supporting roles, often as mothers, in films including Devdas (2002) as Kalibabu's mother, 3 Idiots (2009) as Mrs. Rastogi, Murder 2 (2011) as Reshma's mother, PK (2014) as Jaggu's mother, Mimi (2021) as Vasudha Mausi and Dunki (2023) as Mannu's mother. She has also appeared in numerous Hindi television series such as Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (2009–2018) as Shankari Tai.
Her daughter, Shriya Jha, is also an actress.
