Biography
Ames Bessada is a film and television composer, also credited as Aimee Bessada. They have composed music for the anthology series Black Mirror (2011), including the episodes 'Joan Is Awful' (2023) and 'Common People' (2025).
Bessada was born in Toronto and is based in Los Angeles. They began as a performer and songwriter, touring with bands and appearing on the 2014 VH1 reality series Make or Break: The Linda Perry Project, which led to a mentorship with songwriter Linda Perry.
Bessada is known for scoring 32 episodes of the series Holly Hobbie (2018–2022), 10 episodes of Astrid and Lilly Save the World (2022), the film I Used to Be Funny (2023), three episodes of Irish Blood (2025), and the film Kissing Is the Easy Part (2026).
