Biography
Amina Robinson is an American actor, director and Associate Professor of Acting and Musical Theatre at Temple University. She graduated from the university with a B.A. and an M.F.A. in Theatre.
Robinson played Jermaine in the 2009 film Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire. Her other screen credits include recurring roles in Nurse Jackie (2010–2015) and For Life (2021), and appearances in Law & Order (2007–2024), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2014), 5 to 7 (2014) and The Harvest (2013). On stage she has performed on Broadway in Mamma Mia and Godspell, and in national tours of those shows and Little Shop of Horrors.
