Biography
Amira Casar is a British-French actress. Born on 1 May 1971 in London, she grew up in England, Ireland and France, and studied drama at the Conservatoire National d'Art Dramatique de Paris between 1991 and 1994. She has worked in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
Casar made her screen debut in 1989. She played Sandra Benzakhem in the comedy trilogy La Vérité si je mens ! (1997, 2001, 2012), for which she received a César Award nomination for Most Promising Actress. Her other film roles include Annella Perlman in Call Me by Your Name (2017), Johanna van Gogh-Bonger in At Eternity's Gate (2018), Anne-Marie Munoz in Saint Laurent (2014) and Béatrice de Lorraine in the television series Versailles (2015). She won the Best Actress award at the La Rochelle Television Film Festival in 2010.
