Biography
Amy McAllister is an Irish actress. She trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and has worked extensively in theatre with companies including the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Abbey Theatre, the Bush Theatre, the Arcola Theatre and the Royal Court.
Her screen credits include the role of Sister Anunciata in the 2013 film Philomena, Mary in the 2012 BBC series Call the Midwife, Marjorie Cooper in A Discovery of Witches (2018–2021), Tilly Hildegard in Miss Scarlet and the Duke (2020) and additional voices in the 2023 animated film Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget. She is also a poet and writer.
