Biography
Anatol Nitschke is a German film producer and distributor. Born in 1960 in Munich, he began his career in film distribution and cinema management, working for companies including NEF 2 Filmverleih, Filmwelt-Prokino and Senator Film Verleih between 1983 and 1999.
In 2000 he became a managing director of X-Verleih AG. He later joined the management of Senator Film Verleih and in 2009 co-founded the production and distribution company deutschfilm GmbH as a joint venture with Senator Entertainment. Since 2016 he has been its sole shareholder.
Nitschke's production credits include Der ganz große Traum (2011), Ummah – Unter Freunden (2013), Victoria (2015) and Herbert (2015, also known as A Heavy Heart). Victoria won the Deutscher Filmpreis for Best Film. He is a member of the Deutsche Filmakademie and the European Film Academy.
