Biography
André Dietz is a German actor, born on 6 July 1975 in Koblenz. He began performing on stage in the early 1990s and appeared in television from 1997, including a role in the soap Unter uns.
He is best known for portraying Ingo Zadek in the RTL series Alles was zählt (All That Matters) from 2006, appearing in over 1,700 episodes. Other credits include Der Wixxer (2004) as the Dumb Archer, Vollidiot (2007) as a bartender, Alarm für Cobra 11 – Die Autobahnpolizei (1996) as Ott, Tatort (Scene of the Crime) as Markus Schenk, and A Dangerous Method (2011) as the Medical Policeman.
Dietz has also worked as a composer, writer and television presenter. For the documentaries Zum Schwarzwälder Hirsch (2022) and Herbstresidenz mit Tim Mälzer und André Dietz (2025) he received the Grimme-Preis and the Deutscher Fernsehpreis.
