Biography
André Ernotte (3 June 1943 – 8 March 1999) was a Belgian film director, screenwriter and actor. Born in Liège, he appeared as La Valle in the 1971 American crime film The French Connection.
Ernotte directed and co-wrote the 1976 Belgian drama High Street (also known as Rue Haute), which was selected as Belgium's entry for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. He also directed numerous theatre productions in Europe and the United States.
