Biography
Andréa Ferréol is a French actress. Born on 6 January 1947 in Aix-en-Provence, she trained in dramatic arts in Paris with Jean-Laurent Cochet and began her career in the theatre in the late 1960s.
She first gained attention for her role in La Grande Bouffe (1973). Ferréol appeared as Lina Greff in The Tin Drum (1979), Arlette Guillaume in The Last Metro (1980) and Raffaele's Wife in Three Brothers (1981). She received César Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress for Les Galettes de Pont-Aven (1976) and The Last Metro (1980).
Her career spans stage, film and television, with credits including A Zed & Two Noughts (1985). She was appointed an officer of the Ordre national du Mérite in 2009.
