Biography
Andrea Leeds was an American film actress, also credited early in her career as Antoinette Lees. She began with bit parts in the mid-1930s before taking a substantial role as Evvie Glasgow in Come and Get It (1936).
She received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her performance as Kay Hamilton in Stage Door (1937). Other credits include It Could Happen to You (1937), The Goldwyn Follies (1938), Youth Takes a Fling (1938) and They Shall Have Music (1939). She retired from acting after her marriage in 1939 and later became a successful horse breeder.
