Biography
Andrés Baiz, also known as Andi Baiz, is a Colombian film director and screenwriter. He was born in 1975 in Cali, Colombia, and studied film production and directing at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
His feature directorial debut was Satanás (2007), followed by The Hidden Face (2011) and Roa (2013). He has also directed short films and worked in production in New York.
Baiz has directed extensively for television, including episodes of Metástasis (2014). He directed 12 episodes of Narcos (2015–2017) and served as executive producer, later directing for Narcos: Mexico (2018), The Sandman (2022) and Griselda (2024). He directed and co-wrote Pimpinero: Blood and Oil (2024).
