Biography
Andres Heinz is a writer and director. He is credited with the story for the 2010 film Black Swan, directed by Darren Aronofsky, with the screenplay also credited to him along with Mark Heyman and John McLaughlin.
Heinz attended UCLA and NYU film schools, completing a BFA. His thesis film "Ground Level B" won first place in the Mobil Award. After graduation he worked in film and television production, including as production coordinator for the film unit at Saturday Night Live. He directed the feature Origin of the Species (1998) and has sold several original screenplays, one of which, The Understudy, provided the basis for Black Swan.
He received a BAFTA nomination for his work on Black Swan.
