Biography
Andrew Hinderaker is an American television writer and playwright. He began his career in theatre, writing plays including Suicide, Incorporated, which premiered at the Gift Theatre in Chicago in 2010 and received an Off-Broadway production at the Roundabout Theatre Company. His other stage works include Dirty, I Am Going to Change the World and Colossal. Several of his plays earned nominations for Joseph Jefferson Awards.
Hinderaker has written for television series including Penny Dreadful (2016), The Path (2016–2018), Pure Genius (2016–2017) and Black Rabbit (2025). He created and served as executive producer on Away (2020) and Let the Right One In (2022), for which he was also showrunner. He holds an MFA in playwriting from the University of Texas at Austin.
