Biography
Andrew Lockington is a Canadian film and television composer. Born in 1974 in Burlington, Ontario, he studied composition at Wilfrid Laurier University and began his career assisting composers including Mychael Danna before scoring his first features in the mid-2000s.
He is known for his scores to Journey to the Center of the Earth (2008), City of Ember (2008), Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters (2013), San Andreas (2015), Rampage (2018) and Atlas (2024), as well as the series Mayor of Kingstown (2021–), Lioness (2023–) and Landman (2024–). He has frequently collaborated with director Brad Peyton.
Lockington received the International Film Music Critics Association Breakthrough Composer of the Year award in 2009 and several BMI Film Music Awards.
