Biography
Andrew Rannells is an American actor. He was born on 23 August 1978 in Omaha, Nebraska, and attended Creighton Preparatory School before studying briefly at Marymount Manhattan College.
Rannells originated the role of Elder Price in the 2011 Broadway musical The Book of Mormon, earning a Tony Award nomination for Best Actor in a Musical and a Grammy Award for the cast album. His other Broadway credits include Hairspray (2005), Jersey Boys (2009), a 2016 revival of Falsettos (Tony nomination) and Gutenberg! The Musical! (2023).
On screen he has appeared in the HBO series Girls (2012–2017) and films including The Intern (2015) and A Simple Favor (2018). He voiced Veneer in the animated film Trolls Band Together (2023) and has numerous voice credits in series such as Big Mouth and Invincible.
