Biography
Andrew Rattenbury is a British screenwriter and playwright. He is a graduate of the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and worked as a stage and screen actor before turning to screenwriting in the late 1990s.
His television writing credits include multiple episodes of Teachers (2001–2003), Hotel Babylon (2007–2009), Primeval (2009), Doc Martin (2017–2022) and continuing dramas such as Holby City, Casualty, EastEnders and Hollyoaks. He created the medical miniseries The Golden Hour (2005) and adapted The Grey Man for television (2007). Stage work includes an adaptation of The Postman Always Rings Twice that transferred to the West End and the one-person show Mayakovsky: The Slanting Rain.
