Biography
Andrzej Rafał Waltenberger is a Polish production designer and art director. Born on 22 May 1943 in Lwów (now Lviv, Ukraine), he began working in the Polish film industry in the early 1970s, serving as second scenographer at PRF Zakłady Filmowe and TWF Poltel before taking on independent productions.
He is known for his production design on films including Camera Buff (1979), Blind Chance (1987), The Island on Bird Street (1997) and Loving Vincent (2017), where he contributed to the live-action sequences filmed in Wrocław. He has also worked on international co-productions and received the award for best production design at the 2004 Gdynia Polish Film Festival for Cudownie ocalony.
